Become a Steward
Hold the practice for others.
Stewards are people who practice Shift themselves and feel called to create the space for others to practice.
You don't need to be a therapist.
You do need to know the practice from the inside.
What a Steward Does
A Steward guides the room.
You introduce the learning. Guide the practice. Hold the pace. Make room for reflection.
You don't diagnose, advise, fix, or process anyone's story.
Your job is to create the conditions for people to stay with themselves.
If you can practice the Shift Method yourself, you can learn to hold it for others.
The Path
Practice first.
Come to classes. Learn the method. Develop your own practice.
Then train.
Steward training prepares you to guide a Shift class, hold a group with steadiness, maintain the boundaries of the practice, and recognize when someone needs support beyond what SHIFT provides.
Then lead.
When you're ready, begin holding classes of your own.
Practice → Train → Steward
Steward Pay
$50 per class + $3 for each attendee after the first 10.
The model is intentionally simple.
We want Stewarding to be meaningful work and work worth doing.
Right now, we're early. Pay begins once Shift can sustain it — we're aiming for the second half of 2027.
Founding Stewards
Be part of building this from the beginning.
The first Stewards won't simply inherit a finished system.
They'll help shape it.
The training. The class rhythm. The community. What it means to hold Shift well.
We're building the practice by practicing it.

Why Stewards Matter
I don't want Shift to depend on one person.
I want more people who know how to create spaces where we can slow down, become aware, stay with ourselves, and choose differently.
One Steward can hold that space for a room.
Then another can.
Then another.
